Review of the 7 kg Spring Upgrade kit from Worker
Another
spring review. Another…good…spring review. (Below is
mostly copied from the 5kg EAT Spring review.)
(More after the break.)
Today,
we have for review, a workerkit.com 7kg retaliator spring (A rampage version is
available as well.) I did pay for this product with my own money, so
I am reviewing from a consumer prospective.
The
spring itself performs adequately. Powerful, and is best used with a
pump grip (or lock n’ load). (Picture in the links to Workerkit.com
below.)
The silicone (or rubber?) buffer is
meant to be placed against the plunger or plunger rod, and it performs it's job
well. It is a silicone buffer pad for those interested in the specifics.
The other rubber parts…I don’t know
what they do…so I’m gonna move on.
The Vaseline, I would recommend to NOT
use. It is safe on some rubbers, but on others, it can eat away at them,
being petroleum based and not silicone based. I recommend purchasing
lubricant from Out of Darts, as his is safe, and the type I use. It is
also silicon based and won't hurt your O-rings.
Speaking of O-rings, one is included in
this set. It is a fine O-ring, smaller than the original, but I used it
for a different project. It does work great in the other project, and
fits as an Elite Standard Size.
The last item included is a little catch
spring. The one included is BEEFY and definitely holds the weight.
Now,
let's look at the price...$7 bucks and some change shipped from China to the
US! Astounding! It is well worth the money.
Only gripe:
Shipping time…worker takes a while as it is coming from china to
Pennsylvania. (You might see if it’s in the US NFStrike warehouse,
but not likely.)
All-in-all,
I give this kit a resounding 5 out of 5. At a wonderful price of $7 and
change from China to Pennsylvania, the spring, catch, and buffer all make this
set well worth it!
Sorry for the delays in posting. Its
summer. Posts may be fewer and further between as time rolls on.
Summary:
Pros: Great
spring, Great buffer, Amazing catch spring, Price is fantastic for what it is!
Cons: Spring takes
some time to arrive, but really can’t be helped.
