Nerf Review: Rayven CS-18, Rayven Stinger

Nerf Review: Rayven CS-18 (Overlap to Rayven Stinger and Rayvenfire)

GENERAL INFO:
Rayven CS-18 includes the blaster, glow-in-the-dart 18 clip, and 18 glow-in-the-dark darts.
Rayven Stinger includes the blaster, 12 clip, and 25 stinger elite darts.
Rayvenfire includes the blaster, 10 clip, and 25 regular elite darts. (Probably just a repaint)

(More after the break)

MY IDEAS OF THE BLASTER:
I believe it is worth mentioning ALL of these blasters are the same ACCEPT for being repaints.  The original is actually
They all have a sweet bull-pup style firing system, and are a nice stock alternative to the Stryfe.  All Stryfe re-shells are somewhat better because the Stryfe has a very annoying dart sensor.  If you think about it, the first stryfe was released in 2013.  The first rayven was released in 2012.  The stryfe could be considered a rayven re-shell of sorts.
The handle on my Rayven CS-18 is comfy, but larger hands may not have enough room.

Pictures:
(Quick note on the Rayvenfire, it looks like it is and might as well be considered the Elite XD version, because the Elite XD weapons really have no difference in range as opposed to the standard Elite.)

(The main thing I don’t like about this one that I own in that the nerf logos and lettering are green.)

(I have used this blaster, and even though it shoots no different, it looks amazing.  It is what the N-strike Rayven should have been.)
Rayven Stinger
(Ah, you guessed it...courtesy of Nerf Wiki)

All three do have the curse of the flywheel rev-up whine...The rayven stinger is known as a valuable, and highly sought after blaster,

RANGES:
50-60 feet angled, 33 feet flat.(rechargeable batteries, fully charged, off-brand elites.)

ACCURACY:
It does include elite dart, and I had 3/6 darts hit a 3 ½ inch target with my off-brand elite darts (Approx. 20 feet).  And several were only a tad off.  Several hit closer to the bottom of the target, partially because of a more rapid firing with the semi-auto trigger.

SPECIAL ITEMS:
Glow-in-the-dark series (Rayven, and Rayven CS-18)
Special Limited Release Rayven Stinger w/ special elite dart colors.

All around, the Rayven is a good blaster, but still has a way to go.  It has so-so accuracy and not the best range of other blasters.  It does rev up rather fast, so in almost under a second you can fire a dart.  That is better than most of the other flywheel nerf blasters out there.  It's bull-pup design makes it look rather cool, but the design is killed with the ugly green paint. 😝

I got this in a lot and was SUPER excited.  Now, I gladly traded it to a cousin for a stryfe and Zuru X-shot scope.  But he loves it so that's fine with me!  Goes to show people have different opinions.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review!

Sincerely,
The Nerf CommenTATER
