Nerf Review: Nerf N-strike Elite Rampage
GENERAL INFO:
Includes the blaster, 1 25 dart
drum, and 25 darts.
MY IDEAS OF THE BLASTER:
Solid blaster, good range, and
according to PMindermann of blaster hub, is a sniper style blaster. The Slam-fire in his testing didn’t even make
the darts and range less accurate, a common problem with most slam-fire
weapons. (In my test, the slam-fire function had a dart spread of 10 square feet. A 5x2 ft. rectangle.)
Rampage (Courtesy of Nerf Wiki) |
It has a nice handle for quick
slam-fire action. (3 dps according to
PMindermann1)
It is seen, however that a
right-handed user may have their sight somewhat blocked by the drum1. I tested and did not find this to be such a
problem...but we were using 12 and 18 stick mags. A regular 25 dart drum or 35 dart drum may be uncomfortable.
RANGES:
73 feet according to PMindermann1. That is 2
feet short of the 75 feet range claims!
My testing wasn’t so fortunate…Angled with Elite Darts achieved 59-61 feet and Off brand darts achieved 46-60 feet.
Flat with elite darts was 40-41
feet, and off brand darts hit 30-35
feet.
ACCURACY:
Apparently, the standard accuracy
is not affected by the slam-fire function1. PMindermann called it a sniper like weapon,
but I don’t know if that is just looks or if that is actual accuracy1. Bottom line, though, this thing shoots elite
darts. Not the best dart for accuracy.
The nice thing is that
PMindermann was correct about the rampage having pretty good accuracy on
slam-fire. The 6 I fired fit in a 5x2
foot box!
SPECIAL ITEMS:
Slam-fire and 25 rounds!
First Elite Slam-fire weapon!
First Elite Slam-fire weapon!
This is a great, solid
blaster. A wonderful primary, and I LOVE
THE LOOK. A really nice blaster for most
any war, and should work for any style nerf clip/drum. Both weak-spring 35 drums I had loaded
properly sideways, so they most likely would have worked in a rampage as well.
I hope you enjoyed this review,
and shout out to BlasterHub. If anyone
has any different information on the rampage, please tell me in the comments
section.
Sincerely,
The Nerf CommenTATER
