Nerf Review: Nerf N-strike Elite Stockade

Nerf Review: Nerf N-strike Elite Stockade

GENERAL INFO:
Includes the blaster, 20 Elite darts, and the stock, which is said to be amazing by several nerfers: Tactical Tags, Urban Taggers just to name a couple.  The one I have particularly didn’t include the stock (Second hand acquisitions, you'll understand).

(More after the break)

MY IDEAS OF THE BLASTER:
One word: SMART.  This blaster has a pristine paint job, one of the best I have seen on an elite blaster.

The handle feels pretty good, but it is slightly big.
The trigger is one of the most annoying parts.  You HAVE to pull the trigger completely back, otherwise, you will NOT be able to fire a dart, and the gun will jam.  Come on Hasbro.

Besides the trigger, it makes up for in being a relatively good stock blaster.  For taking 3 AA’s, it gets more range than you might think thanks to the motors.  They aren’t elite range, however.

RANGES:
PMindermann at Blaster hub recorded ranges of 56 feet1.  My tests concur, displaying 57-55 ft. range angled with elite darts.  I had one off brand elite shoot 46 feet angled, and another one shoot 60 feet angled!  It gets 33-34 feet with elite darts, and 32-34 feet with off-brand elites flat.  Unfortunately, PMindermann was right in saying this is far from advertised elite ranges.

These ranges are an improvement to barricade ranges, but considering this is an elite gun, It should hit 60+ more consistently…correction, it should hit 75+ more consistently.

ACCURACY:
I put 6 off-brand elites in, and at 15-20 feet, 4 out of 6 hit a 3 ½ inch target.  This Blaster is relatively accurate, which is good!

SPECIAL ITEMS:
Semi-automatic weapon!  First elite revolver!

This blaster has several shortcomings, but it cannot be denied this was improved from the original barricade.  A quick note:  this is going to be reviewed in more detail in my Rayven review, but this nerf gun shoots about as far as a Rayven CS-18, and with LESS power.

All-in-all, this is a good starter, but notice I said STARTER.  The only reason you should really use it as a primary is 1, a kid sized nerf war, or 2, you dual wield them (Unrecommended, without at least a voltage upgrade).  This and the Stryfe are probably the two best dual wielders out there..

I hope you enjoyed this review!

Sincerely,
The Nerf CommenTATER
